Liverpool have signed Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Emre Can for a reported transfer fee of £9.8m on a long-term contract, the Reds have announced on their official Twitter account.

The Germany U21 international becomes the third summer acquisition of manager Brendan Rodgers at Anfield, following the signature of Southampton duo Rickie Lambert and Adam Lallana, expressed his excitement after switching a move to the Merseyside club.
“I am proud to be a part of the family and I am looking forward to playing here. I will give it my best,” Can told Club’s official website.
The 20-year-old versatile midfielder joined Leverkusen from Bayern Munich in 2013 and has scored three goals and assisted five in 29 Bundesliga appearances, making seven outings in UEFA Champions League last term.
