Former Arsenal legend Thierry Henry is reportedly planning to quit his football career, with Sports Illustrated reporting that the Frenchman will quit New York Red Bulls in December.
The 37-year-old striker, who joined the Major League Soccer outfit from Barcelona in 2010, scoring 49 goals in 121 appearances for the club, and the report has suggested that he has no desire to sign a new contract with the New York club, according to L’Equipe.
After spending a four-and-a-half-year spell with the New York Red Bulls, Henry’s contract is set to expire at the end of 2014.
Henry established himself as one of the greats of modern era during his stint with the Gunners, having scored 228 goals to become the club’s all-time leading goalscorer.
