Manchester United are reportedly stepped up their interest to bring in Barcelona’s Dani Alves to Old Trafford in the summer, reports the Daily Star.
The 31-year-old defender, whose current contract with the La Liga giants is set to expire this summer, subsequently his agent Dinorah Santana reveals that they have already searching for a new club after Barcelona failed to offer the Brazilian new contract at the Camp Nou.
The reports also suggest that Rafael’s future at the Old Trafford looks uncertain, with manager Louis van Gaal preferring to play with three centre-backs in a 3-5-2 formation.
Alves has made 16 La Liga appearances this season, provided two assists for his team-mates. He won the Champions League twice and has made over 300 appearances for the club since he joined the Blaugrana from Sevilla in 2008.
