Borussia Dortmund have confirmed the arrival of Ousmane Dembele from Ligue 1 outfit Rennes for an undisclosed fee.
The Frenchman, who was a reported target of Manchester United, Liverpool and Leicester City, has agreed a deal to remain with the Bundesliga outfit until 2021.

It is believed that various clubs, including Tottenham, Arsenal and Chelsea, had been monitoring Dembele’s situation, but the 18-year-old forward has opted to move to German football this summer.
“Dortmund showed a lot of interest in me right from an early stage and they have always kept close contact with me – this really impressed me,” the teenager told the club’s official website.
“I am totally convinced of the Borussia sporting concept. I can hardly wait to play in the Bundesliga in front of more than 80,000 spectators in the Signal Iduna Park and to walk onto the pitch in the Champions League with my new teammates.”
Dembele has scored 12 goals and provided five assists in 25 Ligue 1 games this season.
