Today, we have shortlisted the Top four January transfer targets, who have been strongly reported to be linked with a move away from their current club, this January. The manager Manuel Pellegrini is keen to sign the energetic talents in order to bolster his squad for the coming season.
Iker Casillas (Goalkeeper) – Real Madrid
The Spain International has been in rumours to be linked with a move away from Real Madrid as he has not getting any chance of being as the number one goalkeeper for the Bernabeu. This could be the reason that the 32-year-old could leave the La Liga in January for the better opportunity.
Man City are keen to have the services of one of the most successful goalkeeper in Europe and Casillas might be the good option for Pellegrini in order to reserve the back-up plan of current goalkeeper Joe Hart.
Nemanja Matic (Midfielder) – Benfica
The Serbia International has impressed everyone at the Estadio da Luz since his move from Chelsea in 2011. The 25-year-old midfielder has been in sparkling form this season by scoring two goals in 13 league appearances for the club so far.
There have been rumours that Chelsea might bring back the midfielder in January but if that doesn’t happen, Man City should consider this outstanding midfielder for the coming season.

Pepe (Defender) – Real Madrid
The Brazilian defender is considered to be the better option for the City’s defending options, if we look at current City’s defence they struggles throughout the season, therefore adding Pepe to the City could overcome the trouble of Pellegrini.
The 30-year-old Real Madrid Centre back has scored two goals in 15 appearances this season so far. Currently, couple of good defenders is the main priorities for the Manchester City this January and Pellegrini will definitely look out for Pepe in order to bolster City’s defence.
Daniel Agger (Defender) – Liverpool
The Denmark International, who plays Liverpool as a central defence has been in excellent form this season, has played 11 games so far.
City are desperate to sign the highly-rated defender, as Pellegrini’s defence options are struggles with injury problems and the backups has not made yet. Adding Daniel Agger to the squad could be a boost for the club because he left footed and can able to play alongside Vincent Kompany.
