Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has made Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Lars Bender his top summer target, according to reports in The Mirror.
It is understood, Wenger priority will be remain with a central midfielder for major additions to strengthen his squad during the summer transfer window.
Bender, 25, has established himself as one of Bundesliga‘s best midfielders known for his tough technical ability and commanding approach, he is the sort of player the Gunners need in this summer.
The Germany international is seems to be a good replacement option for Mikel Arteta, who is now in the ending stages of his career.
Bender is thought to be valued at around £20m, and it’s certainly a price worth paying for his quality.
