Southampton are reportedly planning a summer swoop for Tottenham winger Andros Townsend, according to The Mirror.
The England international has been emerged as one of the finest brightest talents of Premier League last year, but due to his series of injures – Townsend has been ruled out of England’s World Cup campaign.
The report claims that Spurs are willing to sell Townsend at the end of the season as part of a clear-out at the club.
It is understood that the Saints are keen to sign the 22-year-old winger and offer him a hike on his £24,000-per-week earnings in order to bolster their midfield options this summer.
