West Ham United are reportedly plotting a shock £18m bid for the injury-prone forward Daniel Sturridge from Liverpool, according to the Brentwood Gazette.
The England international was widely regarded as one of the best players in Liverpool’s title challenge in the 2013-14 season as he scored 21 goals to take the Reds to second in the league table.
Since then, the 26-year-old has been plagued by injuries, and has made just five league appearances for the Merseyside outfit this term.

There have been reports that the Reds are willing to accept offers for Sturridge somewhere around the £25m mark as manager Jurgen Klopp has been frustrated with his struggle to get back to full fitness.
Sturbridge, who made just 17 appearances last season – will cost Liverpool around £12m when he arrived Anfield in 2013 from Chelsea.
