The 29-year-old, who joined the Saints from Scottish Premier League outfit Rangers in 2012 and since then he has established himself as a key player in the Premier League, has made six Premier League starts this season.
“I’m delighted to have signed a new contract. I’ve enjoyed my football since I came here and the club is continually progressing,” the Northern Irish midfielder told the club’s official website.
“I’m excited to see where we can go together over the next few years. The club is run the right way and they try to do everything to their best ability.
Davis has been a regular in the south-coast club, who made 71 appearances since his move to St Mary’s Stadium in 2012.
