Bayern Munich left-back David Alaba has emerged as a summer transfer target for Manchester United, according to The Mirror.
The Austrian international, whose contract at the Allianz Arena is valid until 2021, is said to have been watched by United’s scouts during the international break.
Man United boss Mourinho is desperate to bring in a left-sided defender and a defensive midfielder, positions the 24-year-old star can take up.
On top of that, the same report suggests that Alaba’s teammate Julian Baumgartlinger is also on United’s radar, which could spell the end of Morgan Schneiderlin’s career at Old Trafford.
The versatile defender Alaba is also thought to be a prime target for Real Madrid.
