Newly appointed Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is reportedly keen to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger in order to rebuild his squad this summer, according to The Sun.
Earlier this season The Red Devils had been linked with a number of the Bavarians’ star, with Thomas Muller, Arjen Robben and Toni Kroos and now they are thought to be interested in bringing over the 29-year-old midfielder for £32million.
The Germany international has established himself as one of Bayern’s key men in the recent months, has scored eight goals in 38 appearances in all competitions last season.
Van Gaal sees Schweinsteiger at the top of his transfer window wish list to build his new-look midfield around.
