Lewandowski’s new contract at Bayern Munich?

Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski could be on the verge of signing a new contract with the Bundesliga champions that might end speculations about his future move.

The 27-year-old, who scored 36 goals in 39 outings in all competitions this season, has been heavily linked to the Spanish giants Real Madrid and host of English clubs, including Manchester City.

It has been reported that Bayern manager Pep Guardiola wants to take Lewandowski with him at Manchester City this summer.

However, according to German magazine Sport Bild, the Poland international has decided to remain with the Bavarians and intends to sign a new long-term contract until 2021.

Lewandowski joined the reigning German Champions on a free transfer from Borussia Dortmund in 2014.
