Barcelona have completed the signing of Sevilla midfielder Ivan Rakitic after securing him on a five-year deal at the Nou Camp, the Catalan club confirmed on Twitter.

The Croatia international has more than 60 caps for his country, who is currently busy with his international duty at world cup 2014 in Brazil, has enjoyed three brilliant seasons with Sevilla in the Primera Division and leading them to the Europa League title.
The 26-year-old midfielder joined Sevilla from Bundesliga club Schalke 04 in 2011, since then he has established himself as one of the best attacking midfield talents in La Liga, scored 15 goals in 52 appearances for the club last season and now he is being widely viewed as a replacement for Spanish playmaker Cesc Fabregas, who recently joined Premier League side Chelsea.
