The Portuguese outfit Benfica have announced the signing of Adel Taarabt from Queens Park Rangers on a five-year deal, the both club have confirmed the news.

The Moroccan midfielder has had a unstable career at Loftus Road, having problems with his fitness, he still had one year left on his current contract with the Hoops and interest emerged from the Portuguese champions earlier this week, with the deal now finally complete.
The 26-year-old began his career in France at Lens before joining Tottenham Hotspur in 2007, later he moved to QPR on loan in July 2009, before making himself permanent in August 2010.
Taarabt has scored 34 times in 164 appearances across all competitions for the West London club, but managed to play just seven games last season.
