The Premier League champions Chelsea are reportedly plotting a surprise move for Bayer Leverkusen striker Javier Hernandez in January transfer window, according to The Mirror.
The 27-year-old, who joined the German outfit for a reported fee of £7.3m from Manchester United in the summer, is on the radar of the west London club as they lookout for a proven goal-scorer to their ranks.
The Mexico international has scored ten goals for Leverkusen since leaving Old Trafford, including four in Champions League.

Chelsea’s first-choice striker Diego Costa has managed to scored only two goals in the Premier League this season so far, while Loic Remy has also failed to make an impact this season as the Blues find themselves in 16th position in the league table, one point behind Norwich City.
Hernandez has also spent a season-long loan spell at Real Madrid and would cost somewhere around £8.5m if the Bundesliga outfit decide to sell, the newspaper claims.
