Blues Monitor Danish Forward Ahead Of January Window
Chelsea are reportedly weighing up a move for Strasbourg forward Conrad Harder, according to TEAMtalk.

Xabi Alonso took charge at Stamford Bridge this summer following a underwhelming campaign, tasked with steadying the ship. The Blues began the new Premier League season brightly, beating Fulham and Brighton and Hove Albion in their opening two fixtures. Since then, though, form has dipped, with just a single point collected from their subsequent three league outings.
Chelsea currently sit in mid-table with seven points from five games, though there has been some cheer in the Carabao Cup, where wins over Luton Town and Leeds United have secured a fourth-round spot.
Why Harder Appeals To Chelsea’s Recruitment Model
Recruiting promising young talent remains central to Chelsea’s transfer strategy, and Harder fits that profile. The Dane arrived at Strasbourg on loan from RB Leipzig on deadline day and marked his debut with a goal against Troyes.
Given that Chelsea and Strasbourg share the same ownership group, the West London club appear well placed to eventually sign him permanently, having already exchanged several players with their sister club in recent seasons. Sevilla, Lazio and Galatasaray all pursued Harder over the summer, yet Strasbourg won out, while Leeds, Everton and Brighton are also said to be tracking his progress.
Standing at 6ft 1in and predominantly left-footed, Harder offers pace, physicality and composure in front of goal, alongside a willingness to press without the ball. He earned early recognition at Sporting CP before his switch to Leipzig, though first-team opportunities there proved limited.
In my view, a January move looks unlikely given how fresh his loan spell is, but if he continues scoring regularly, Chelsea would be sensible to fast-track a permanent deal — their sister-club ties give them a genuine head start over rival suitors.
