Report: Arsenal to launch £34.2m for Alexandre Lacazette

Arsenal have reportedly prepared to table £34.2m bid to lure Alexandre Lacazette to the Emirates from Lyon this summer.

The Gunners are prepared to open talks with Lyon about securing Lacazette’s signature by paying £34.2m.

According to The Telegraph, the north Londoners are on the verge of their pursuit as Arsene Wenger looks to strengthen his attacking options ahead of next season.

The French boss has already hinted his intention to add some more strikers to squad with the club missed out on Jamie Vardy from Leicester City.

However, the same report says that the 25-year-old Frenchman has already snubbed a chance to join West Ham United in the summer transfer window.

Lacazette has scored 63 goals for Lyon since the start of the 2013/14 season, and is keen on a move to the Emirates this summer but the report suggested that deal will take a lot of negotiating.

Arsenal finished 10 points behind champions Leicester City last season.
