Everton are set to bolster their defensive ranks with the signing of Dutch right-back Kenny Tete on a free transfer, according to renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The 29-year-old is poised to leave Fulham after failing to agree a contract extension, paving the way for a Bosman move to Goodison Park. Tete has reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Everton and is expected to sign a three-year deal, keeping him at the club until June 2028.
A New Chapter After Fulham
Tete joined Fulham from Lyon in October 2020 and has since made over 100 appearances for the West London club, contributing four goals and ten assists. Despite showcasing his talent, persistent injury problems have seen him miss more than 50 matches during his time at Craven Cottage.
Having started his career in the Ajax academy, Tete rose to prominence at Olympique Lyonnais before making the switch to the Premier League. Now, he looks set to continue his top-flight journey with Everton.
