Pundit Dion Dublin has urged Manchester United to move for Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane, even if it costs up to £80m.

Why Dublin Wants Kane at Old Trafford
Kane left Tottenham for Bayern in 2023 and has won two Bundesliga titles and domestic silverware. Last season he scored 61 goals and provided seven assists in 51 games across all competitions.
The England captain has kept that form going, with six goals and two assists in seven appearances this term. He also remains the Three Lions’ all-time top scorer.
Speaking to Metro, Dublin said Kane’s age, he turns 34 next year, should not deter United. He would “still nick” him for a year or two, calling him a “very clever footballer”, and said United should pay £70m or £80m if that is what Bayern want.
Man Utd’s Striker Problem
United’s main central options are Benjamin Sesko and Joshua Zirkzee. Sesko has battled fitness issues, while Zirkzee has struggled with the physical demands of English football since joining from Bologna.
Matheus Cunha, Marcus Rashford and Bryan Mbeumo can fill in centrally, though all are more effective out wide.
Our Opinion on a Kane Move
Kane would lift United’s goal output immediately, and his movement and link-up play suit the Premier League perfectly. A short-term deal also fits the club’s need for reliable goals.
However, Bayern are unlikely to sell a player in such prolific form easily, and spending £80m on a 34-year-old carries real risk. It will be interesting to see whether United make a firm approach in January or wait until next summer.
