Liverpool and Arsenal have reportedly shown interest in Real Madrid right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, according to TEAMtalk, with intermediaries already making contact.

Why Alexander-Arnold Could Leave Real Madrid
The England international left Anfield for the Bernabéu last year after winning two league titles and a Champions League with Liverpool. However, the 27-year-old has struggled to settle in Spain, and Denzel Dumfries’ arrival has reportedly pushed him down the pecking order.
Intermediaries are now exploring destinations, with Arsenal and Liverpool both contacted. Manchester City and Chelsea have also been offered the defender, who is valued at roughly £51m by Transfermarkt.
However, he reportedly has no plans to leave in January, while Real Madrid are reluctant to weaken their squad mid-season.
Why Liverpool and Arsenal Need a New Right-Back
Liverpool have struggled at right-back since his exit. Jeremie Frimpong has yet to find his feet in England, while Conor Bradley continues to battle fitness problems.
Arsenal have Ben White, whose injury record is a concern, and Jurrien Timber, who has only just recovered from a groin problem. Both clubs clearly need reliable depth in that position.
Alexander-Arnold can play right-back, wing-back or even in midfield if required.
Our Take on the Alexander-Arnold Transfer Saga
In my opinion, a return to Anfield would carry as much emotional baggage as sporting merit, and supporters may not welcome it easily. Arsenal would offer a fresh start and a title-chasing environment where his passing range could thrive under Mikel Arteta.
Defensively, he must prove he can handle the Premier League’s quicker wingers again, though his creativity is undeniable. At 27, he still has plenty to offer, and £51m looks fair. Yet a winter move appears unlikely, so this saga may drag on until next summer.
