Liverpool hosted Manchester United in the Premier League game at Anfield.
Both clubs were competing for a top-four finish, the game went toe-to-toe for the three points. Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata scored the opening goal in the 14th minute to give the visitors the lead.
Later on, the Red Devils then doubled their lead, when Angel Di Maria played a wonderful chipped pass back to Mata, who scored a stunning kick.
