Tottenham sign Bayer Leverkusen’s Heung-Min Son

Tottenham Hotspur have secured the signature of Bayer Leverkusen forward Heung-Min Son on a five-year deal, thought to be worth £22m.

The South Korean international has agreed on a long-term contract that will be valid until 2020 subject to work permit and international clearance, and will wear the No.7 shirt at White Hart Lane.

The 23-year-old forward has scored 29 times in 87 appearances since he joined the Bayer Leverkusen from Hamburg in June 2013.

Son becomes Spurs’ fifth summer signing and the latest South Koreans to have feature in the Premier League, including Ji-Sung Park, Sung-Yeung Ki, and Chung-Yong Lee.
