Tottenham Eye Leroy Sane as Summer Transfer Target from Bayern Munich

Tottenham Hotspur are preparing a summer swoop for Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane, according to respected French journalist Santi Aouna.

The German international was a key figure in Bayern’s Bundesliga-winning campaign under Vincent Kompany, contributing 19 goals and assists in 45 appearances across all competitions. With his contract set to expire at the end of June, Sane’s future is now up in the air—and Spurs are positioning themselves as frontrunners.

Spurs Show Strong Interest Amid Contract Uncertainty

Having joined Bayern from Manchester City in 2020, Sane could be on the move once again, with several clubs monitoring his situation. However, Aouna reports that Tottenham have shown the most serious intent among Premier League sides. Bayern remain hopeful of renewing the 29-year-old’s deal with an improved offer, but the prospect of a return to England could prove tempting.

Tottenham are also facing competition from clubs in Turkey and Saudi Arabia, but their Premier League stature and attacking style under Ange Postecoglou could give them the edge.

Sane Could Be the Catalyst for Spurs’ Revival

Following one of their most disappointing league campaigns in recent memory, Spurs salvaged their season with a historic Europa League triumph over Manchester United in Bilbao. Injuries and lack of squad depth plagued Postecoglou’s side, highlighting the need for reinforcements.

Bringing in a player of Sane’s calibre would not only boost attacking depth but also provide the creativity and pace that Postecoglou’s system craves. His arrival could signal the start of a more dynamic and competitive Tottenham in 2025.
