Man United Targeting AS Roma Midfielder Kevin Strootman


Defending premier league champion Manchester United are planning £30m swoop for Dutch midfielder Kevin Strootman, reports The Mirror.

The Netherlands international was heavily involved in talks on a move to Old Trafford during pre-season but instead the midfielder joined Giallorossi on £17m move from PSV Eindhoven and since then he proved himself as a massive success in Serie A campaign.

United boss David Moyes is determined to finally land his man at Old Trafford by offering him an offer almost double from the previous for Strootman in January.

The Red Devils are currently struggling with short of quality in midfield department, as the duo Anderson and Tom Cleverley were failed to make a consistent impact for the club, thus it has been expected there might be the scope for another central midfielder to overcome the midfield department.

The midfielder has played 13 games in which he scored three goals and five assists so far this season.

United are sit on 9th position, thirteen points behind the premier league leaders Arsenal.
