Defending premier league champions Manchester United sign Chelsea playmaker Juan Mata for £37.1m, club official website announced.
The Spain international has scored 33 goals in 133 games, since his move to Stamford Bridge from Valencia in 2011. The signing of Mata is the most high-profile January transfer so far in 2014.
Mata was Chelsea’s two times player of the year but under Jose Mourinho, Mata has spent most of the 2013-14 season on the bench.
The Manager David Moyes confirmed, the 25-year-old midfielder will play his debut in premier league encounter with Cardiff on Tuesday at Old Trafford.
