Liverpool set to announce £16m move for Mario Balotelli

AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli is likely to complete his return to the Premier League with £16m move to Liverpool in next couple of days, reports BBC.

The 24-year-old will conclude the personal terms at Merseyside on Monday that will see him earn nearly £120,000-a-week.

The Italy international, who played for Manchester City from 2010 to 2013, scoring 20 goals, helping the club win a first league title since 1968.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers said: “We have quite an extensive code of conduct for players and staff. There is no specific one for any one individual.”

“This isn’t like many clubs. Liverpool is a club that is a real strong family football club, with values and ethics that run over many years.

“I, as the manager, will fight to protect that always, so no matter which players or professionals are at the club, they will abide by that.”

However Balotelli could not be available to face City at the Etihad on Monday but expected to make his debut at Tottenham next Sunday.
