Liverpool Keen on Colombian Striker

Liverpool are plotting a summer move to sign Udinese striker Luis Muriel, according to reports in The Express.

The 22-year-old striker had been in rumours to be linked with a move to the Reds last summer, and once again it has been reported the South American striker is under Reds’ radar for the summer transfer window.

Muriel, who joined Udinese in 2010 and has been in average form this season, scored four goals in just 15 league games so far.

The report also claims that Luis Suarez might left the Anfield this summer, but the Uruguayan has already committed his future signing a new four-and-a-half year deal that will keep him at the club until 2018.

It’s rumoured that Spanish giant – Real Madrid are among the club who will be interested in Luis Suarez this summer that can afford such a huge £60m-£70m release clause.

However, if Liverpool keep Suarez for the long-term Rodgers may still keen to sign Muriel to his strike force as a priority.

The Colombian international has earned 12 caps and will represent his country in the FIFA 2014 World Cup.
