Liverpool Explore Deal for PSG Talent Ibrahim Mbaye

Liverpool have opened talks to sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Ibrahim Mbaye, according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano. The Reds have reportedly gone directly through the 18-year-old’s agent, Jorge Mendes, and the youngster is said to be genuinely tempted by a switch to Anfield.

From PSG Academy to Senegal Star

Mbaye joined PSG’s academy at just 10 years old after stints at ES Guyancourt and Versailles. Since breaking into the first team, he’s already collected two Ligue 1 titles and two Champions League trophies — though minutes under Luis Enrique have been hard to come by. Last season he managed five goal contributions in 11 starts, but he’s still carved out a regular spot with the Senegal national team.

Leipzig Collapse Opens the Door

A move to RB Leipzig was close to completion before it fell through following Yan Diomande’s switch to Real Madrid. Now Bayer Leverkusen are reportedly closing in on a deal with PSG — but Mbaye is said to be prioritising Liverpool instead.

The Price Tag and the Profile

Transfermarkt values the versatile, right-footed winger at around £26m, and with a contract running until 2028, PSG hold real leverage in negotiations. On the pitch, Mbaye offers pace, close control, and comfort on either flank.
