Jack Wilshere to get new bumper five-year contract at the Emirates?


Arsenal are reportedly preparing a massive new contract to keep their midfielder Jack Wilshere at the Emirates for the next five years, reports the Daily Mirror.

The 22-year-old England international has been in sensational form in recent days, being named England’s man of the­ match in the 3­-1 win over Slovenia and excelled in the 3-­1 victory over Scotland at Celtic Park on Tuesday.

Despite having three years left on his current contract at the Emirates, the report has suggested that the talks between the club and Wilshere’s representatives are planned for early in January over a new deal, which could bolster his salary of around £150,000 a week.

Wilshere has scored 11 goals in 147 appearances for the Gunners since he arrived the Emirates Stadium in 2008.

Arsenal are currently sit eighth in the league table with 17 points and ready to face West Brom in the Premier League action this Saturday.
