Atletico Madrid and Juventus are reportedly weighing up a January approach for Arsenal winger Noni Madueke, according to Caught Offside.
The 24-year-old joined the Gunners from Chelsea last summer in a £52 million deal and enjoyed a respectable first season in north London, contributing eight goals and four assists across 43 appearances.
However, Madueke has failed to register a single goal or assist so far this campaign, having featured for barely 100 minutes across Arsenal’s opening six fixtures. That lack of game time has fuelled talk of a potential winter exit.
Loan Interest From Spain and Italy
Caught Offside report that both Atletico and Juventus are monitoring Madueke’s situation closely, with a loan move including a future purchase option being explored by each club. No formal contact with Arsenal has been made at this stage.
Why a Move Feels Unlikely This Winter
Madueke’s debut season was hampered by injuries, yet he still offered useful cover for Bukayo Saka, who was far from fully fit for much of the campaign. With Saka now in excellent form, Madueke has understandably seen his minutes shrink, likely restricted to cup outings and occasional Premier League or Champions League starts when rotation is required.
Atletico reportedly value his pace and directness down the right, while Juventus rate his ability to beat opponents one-on-one. Even so, I’d be surprised if either side gets their man in January.
Mikel Arteta continues to rate Madueke highly, and he remains a genuine impact option from the bench in both domestic and European competition. Arsenal also have exciting academy prospect Max Dowman pushing for minutes on the right, though the 16-year-old still needs time to round off his defensive game.
Given all that, a loan exit this winter seems improbable — a permanent sale next summer, recouping the full fee, feels the more realistic scenario for Arsenal.
