Arsenal close in on Norwich City stopper John Ruddy

Arsenal are reportedly planning a move to sign Norwich City goalkeeper John Ruddy, as Wenger looks competition for Wojciech Szczesny following the exit of Lukasz Fabianski, according to the Mirror.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is on the hunt for a new stopper at the Emirates Stadium after the departure of Lukasz Fabianski to Swansea City.

It is understood Norwich have made Ruddy available this summer if the Canaries receive an offer in the region of £7 million for the 27-year-old goalkeeper.

The England international, who joined the club in 2010 from Everton, has established himself as one of the best players at Carrow Road in the last few seasons.

Without a doubt, the arrival of Ruddy to the Gunners will boost his possibilities of returning to the England squad.
