Arsenal and Tottenham set for transfer Tug-of-War over Antonio Nusa

The summer transfer window is shaping up to deliver another heated North London derby — this time in the transfer market. Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are both battling to sign RB Leipzig winger Antonio Nusa, according to reports from Fussballdaten, setting the stage for a fascinating duel between bitter rivals.

Who Is Antonio Nusa?

The 21-year-old Norwegian is no ordinary prospect. Having graduated from Stabæk’s academy, Nusa caught the eye at Club Brugge — contributing to two Belgian title wins — before etching his name into Champions League history in September 2022. At just 17 years, 4 months, and 27 days old, he became the second-youngest scorer in UEFA Champions League history, netting against FC Porto in a 4–0 thrashing.

Since joining Leipzig in summer 2024, Nusa has continued his upward trajectory, racking up nine goal contributions while helping the club secure Champions League qualification for next season.

The Transfer Battle

Leipzig aren’t desperate to sell, but price tags between £43m and £47m could open the door. Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta is reportedly very interested, while Spurs are keen to reinvigorate their attack. However, Newcastle, Inter Milan, and Napoli are also circling — making this a crowded race.

The Stats That Matter

Questions persist around his goal output in top-flight football, but the numbers elsewhere are compelling. Nusa completes 3.0 successful dribbles per 90 minutes — third in the Bundesliga — while winning 7.21 duels per game, suggesting he has the physicality to thrive in the Premier League.

Whether it’s red or white he ends up wearing come August, Nusa looks destined for England’s top flight.
