Everton Face European Competition in Pursuit of Fenerbahce Star Ogun Aydin

Everton are set to enter a fierce transfer race this summer, with reports from Turkish outlet Sporx revealing that the Merseyside club are battling Ajax and Lazio for the signature of rising star Ogun Aydin.

Aydin’s Rapid Rise in Turkish Football

The 24-year-old Turkish winger has quickly established himself as one of the Super Lig’s standout performers. After joining Fenerbahce from Alanyaspor just last summer, Aydin impressed with 15 goal contributions in 30 appearances—scoring eight and assisting seven. Despite limited starts, his impact has been hard to ignore, attracting interest from several top European sides.

Turkey’s footballing conveyor belt continues to produce attacking gems—following in the footsteps of Arda Guler and Semih Kilicsoy, Aydin now looks poised for a high-profile move abroad.

Everton’s Attacking Overhaul

Sean Dyche’s Everton are eyeing reinforcements in wide areas, especially with Jack Harrison and Jesper Lindstrom returning to their parent clubs and Dwight McNeil only recently back from injury. Aydin’s flair, creativity, and end product make him a tempting option to rejuvenate the Toffees’ flanks.

However, prising him away from Fenerbahce won’t be straightforward. The Turkish giants are reluctant to part ways with the winger so soon after his arrival.

Can Everton Win the Race?

With Ajax and Lazio also circling, Everton must act decisively if they’re to secure Aydin’s services. A Premier League switch could appeal to the player, but it remains to be seen whether Fenerbahce can be convinced to cash in.

One thing is clear—Ogun Aydin’s future will be one of the more intriguing sagas of this summer’s transfer window.
