Inter Milan Target Jean-Clair Todibo in Defensive Overhaul

Inter Milan are setting their sights on Jean-Clair Todibo as they prepare for a summer shake-up, with Simone Inzaghi keen to bolster his defence by raiding West Ham United for the French centre-back.

A New Era for Inter’s Backline

With an eye on the future, Inter are prioritising youthful reinforcements to lower their wage bill while maintaining defensive solidity. According to InterLive, Todibo has emerged as a key target, and the Nerazzurri are exploring a potential loan move with an option to buy.

The 25-year-old, once hailed as a rising star, struggled at Barcelona before reviving his career at OGC Nice. His stellar performances in Ligue 1 put him on the radar of several European giants, with West Ham eventually securing his signature last summer.

Todibo’s Struggles at West Ham

Expectations were high when Todibo arrived in the Premier League, but his time in London has been underwhelming. Despite a loan deal with an obligation to buy, his limited impact—just 19 appearances, with only 12 starts—has raised doubts about his long-term future with the Hammers.

Inter Ready to Pounce

Inter see Todibo as an ideal fit for their back-three system and a potential long-term successor to Francesco Acerbi. If his struggles at West Ham continue, the Serie A giants could swoop in with an offer to give him a fresh start in Milan.

Interestingly, Juventus had pursued Todibo last summer before opting for Pierre Kalulu instead. While the Bianconeri missed out, Inter now have the chance to bring the Frenchman to Serie A and reignite his career at the highest level.

Will Inter seal the deal, or will Todibo fight for his place in the Premier League?
