Real Madrid are reportedly considering to reshape the left-back options in the winter transfer window and Nacho Monreal of Arsenal’s has been one of their prime targets.
Sources from Spanish capital have revealed Nacho Monreal is one of the defenders Real directors are looking at, and they would be ready to launch a luring offer for the Spaniard left-back.
Real Madrid manager Rafa Benitez is believed to be looking for a man who can replace Marcelo in the left-back, so the Brazilian can remain fit and rested for the crucial games.
The 10-time European champions have had a few targets in their wish-list for January, including Alberto Moreno from Liverpool, Wolfsburg’s Ricardo Rodriguez and David Alaba of Bayern Munich.
Monreal has recently emerged as a big name for the job. However, the Gunners will reluctant to sell him, so Perez will have to make a mega bid in order to bring the 29-year-old defender to the Bernabeu.
Monreal joined the Premier League outfit from Malaga in 2012 and has made more than 100 appearances for the north Londoners across four seasons.
