Valencia eye Man City striker

Valencia are preparing a £20m offer to Manchester City in order to bring Edin Dzeko to the Mestalla this summer, according to reports from the Daily Star.

The 28-year-old striker, whose current contract is set to expire next summer and he might get to receive a new bumper deal from the Premier League champions.

The City boss Manuel Pellegrini is likely to want him to stay at the Etihad, but the La Liga club Valencia are reportedly interested in Dzeko’s signature.

It is understood that the Spanish club sees Dzeko as the ideal man in order to rebuild their weakened squad and will try to lure Dzeko on a four-year contract with the guarantee of first-team football, along with a pay rise incentive to get the deal done.

The Bosnian international has played a key role in Pellegrini’s squad to lift the Premier League trophy this season. He has scored five goals in their last four matches.
