Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani has emerged as a summer transfer target for the Premier League champions Chelsea, according to Le 10 Sport.
The 28-year-old joined the Ligue 1 champions after a successful spell with Napoli in 2013, with reports suggesting that a move to Stamford Bridge is possible in the summer but it remains to be seen whether PSG will be willing to let him go.
The Uruguayan forward would certainly bolster Blues’s attacking area, with Diego Costa failing to repeat his sensational form of last season, whilst Radamel Falcao and Loic Remy both has been disappointing as the west London club have struggled in front of goal this season.
Cavani has been in -great form, scoring nine goals in 17 appearances across all competitions this season, which is slightly better than club’s number one Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s form.
Chelsea currently find themselves in 16th position and return to Premier League action when they host Norwich City on Saturday.
