The Coppa Italia winners Napoli are reportedly interested in signing the Ex-Liverpool winger Jermaine Pennant, who is now a free agent after released by Stoke City in January, Mirror reports.
Napoli boss Rafael Benitez is keen on the 31-year-old as he looks to strengthen his squad ahead of next season.
It is understood that Napoli are on hunt for a new wide player in summer as Lorenzo Insigne’s future uncertain after being linked with Arsenal. So being a free agent, Pennant is seen as an ideal replacement at the San Paolo.
Although, the former England international is being mooted as a potential summer target by Benitez, who previously played for Birmingham, Liverpool and Real Zaragoza.
Pennant has scored just four goals in 89 starts for the Potters over the last four seasons.
