The 28-year-old Ecuadorian, who is currently on international duty in World Cup 2014, also has an option to stay at Old Trafford until June 2018.

“My time at Manchester United has been like a dream come true. To be the first Ecuadorian player to win the English Premier League was a very proud moment for me and for my country,” the former Wigan star told the club’s website.

Valencia has made 191 appearances, scoring 21 goals for the Red Devils since joining the club from Wigan in August 2009 and lift two Premier League titles as well as the League Cup during his time at Old Trafford.
