The star striker Didier Drogba will remain with MLS outfit Montreal Impact, ending speculation the Ivorian superstar could return to his former club Chelsea.
The 37-year-old, who penned an 18-month contract with the Canadian outfit Montreal last summer, following the completion of his second spell at Stamford Bridge, was the franchise’s top goalscorer last term with 11 goals.
However, it was reported last month that the striker was keeping a tab on a role in Chelsea’s management staff after a board meeting with the Blues’ hierarchy.
But now, the forward has insisted that he will remain in the Major League Soccer and is set to join their pre-season training camp in Qatar. He tweeted;
