West Ham United have completed the acquisition of Anderlecht centre-back Cheikhou Kouyate for an undisclosed fee.

The 24-year-old made145 appearances for the club in the Belgian league, has joined the Hammers on a four-year deal to become the club’s second summer signing after the signature of Argentine striker Mauro Zarate.
“I am very happy, because today West Ham have given me the chance to play in the Premier League. So I’m very happy to join such a club and that gives me great pleasure,” Kouyate told the club’s official website.
The Senegal international can be able to play on both defence and midfield had attracted interest from top clubs with the likes of Arsenal and Valencia but ultimately, the Hammers are the one – who secured his signature at the earliest.
