The Argentina international has scored 20 goals in all competitions during his time with the Yellow Submarine, but has now complete a move to the capital that will keep him at the Vicente Calderon Stadium until 2021.
The 21-year-old, who helped Villarreal to a 6th placed finish in La Liga last term, scoring 8 goals in Europa League campaign, will likely to provide competition for the likes of Fernando Torres and Raul Jimenez following the exits of Arda Turan and Mario Mandzukic.
Vietto becomes the second transfer made by Diego Simeone’s side and it has been reported that Porto’s Jackson Martinez is also set to arrive to the Spanish capital in the coming days.
